6 Basic Fishing Equipment

1. Bait

Fishing bait is a catchall term for anything that one would use to get fish near the surface of water. There are many different types, such as worms and maggots, but they all serve roughly the same purpose: drawing in unsuspecting prey.

Fishing bait can be made from everything you could find around your house or local market-live minnows being among some of them, at Always Fun Charters we always fish with the best bait!

2. Fishing rod

Fishing rods are a type of fishing gear. They can be categorized by their length and how far they extend out from the rod holder, or reel - which is what attaches to your belt.

A typical fishing rod will have one end that hooks into your reel on your waistband so you don't lose it in the water when casting off with another handhold device called an 'angler'. The other end has a handle made for reeling fish towards you while using either fly-fishing bait or artificial lures to attract them onto land where people catch them humanely as food! Fishing rods come in all different lengths and materials such as fiberglass, bamboo wood, steel wire etcetera depending on preference for use because not everyone fishes alike! 3. Hooks

Fishing hooks are pieces of metal that have a long, pointed end and two small loops on the other side. They can be made out of different types such as steel or stainless steel depending upon what type you prefer - some people think there's an advantage to using one over the others when fishing for certain fish species.

Fishing Hooks come in many shapes and sizes with lengths ranging anywhere from 3 inches up to 8 feet! The most common hook size is 6-8 inch because it provides enough length without being too heavy but still has plenty bite (of course this depends on your preference).

4. Pliers

Fishing pliers are a tool used to pull or grip objects that get hooked on fishing hooks. These devices usually come in two different types, one for pulling and the other type is specially designed to remove fish from nets without damaging their fins.

A pair of these tools will help you catch more fish than  ver before so they're worth every penny! What Fishing Pliers do: - Pulls items caught onto hook - Removes unharmed inhabitants out of net

5. Lures and Weights

Fishing lures are often made of metal, plastic or wood. They come in many different sizes and styles to attract fish with their reflection and movement. Fishermen use them when fishing from the shoreline or pier by casting out a line baited with bait such as worms onto rocks below the surface water on which they expect fish will be feeding; these may also be used while wading at sea shallows near rocky reefs that have been scoured for prey during high tide periods

Fishing Lures: Fishing lures are objects thrown into water where people hope there is an increase chance of catching something like food because it looks good enough to eat (or just wants you).

Fishing weights are essential for any angler looking to reel in the big one. The different kinds of fishing weights include lead, steel shot, and tungsten or "tink" weighting.

Fishing is a sport that many enjoy but not all know how it works - what should you use? Fishing weighs come with various options including lead (which can be cheaper), steel which will sink quicker than other types of weighings if they accidentally fall off their hooks on the water's surface; both tungsten- another heavy metal like iron or copper) and plastic ranging from 1g/2oz up to 6kgs at 30lbs per bag). These have been deemed necessary because as an average fish has about 2% body fat

6. Reel

What is a fishing reel and how do you use it? A fishing reel, also known as a bait-casting reel or spinning rod with line on the spool connects to your hook by using two arms called "the guides". The fisherman holds these in place while reeling.

A fishing reel can be used for both fresh water and saltwater environments thanks to its wide range of durability features such as corrosion resistance, stainless steel bearings which make them resistant against rusting, adjustable drag settings which allow fishermen control when they need more power during their cast, magnetic braking systems that are placed inside each unit so knots don't slip out but instead stay tight without any hassle making this device easy to handle even if someone doesn’t have much experience yet
